As always, too much to do to get where I want to get, but Sharon Burian reminds me that having the vids up on my blog helps, too.
So instead of just putting them up willy-nilly, here’s some stories behind, before I do my proper post:
Part One
Being around a red carpet was a new experience for me, with the littleĀ corrallingĀ area for photographers, the lights and interviews. You have a picture of the Yellow Brick Road, but after having gone to the Pantages for the Rain premiere, I think the red carpet really is just a little area to the side where they do the interviews, except at the massive events where it’s a walkway.
And while I’ve seen celebs before in little ways, I’ve never interacted with them so much in a closed space. The first person to greet me when walking in was Gary Anthony Williams, of Boston Legal fame. After that, I was surprised to see Rex Lee, Ahmed Best and eventually, Dave Foley.
Part Two
Realizing that I was missing key opportunities, I stepped up and started asking the celebs if they’d talk to me on camera. Donnell Rawlings was fairly easy to ask, as we’d had a couple of conversations. I felt comfortable asking Dave Foley, too, because we’d talked a bunch at the party the night before.

So there you go, the videos with a bit of packaging. I’ll get to the blog meat sooner than later.
